Who We Are

The tapioca balls/ bursting bubbles are sometimes referred to as 'Pearls' or 'Boba', which has evolved into the commonly used name Bubble. However the true origins of the name come from the small floating bubbles that are created by the vigorous shaking involved in making Bubble tea, not the bobas at the bottom. Isn’t that strange? It originated in Taiwan in the 1980’s and spread rapidly over time to other Asian countries before sneaking through to North America, Australia and some parts of Africa. Since the early days of its inception, this delicious beverage has become a fine art! After much research, trial, error and mouth-watering analysis we - at Bubble & Shake are very proud to present to you; delicious Bubble Tea- The first in Zambia! With a base of rooibos for our iced teas (naturally caffeine free) and black tea for our milk teas, our boba is described as one of a kind. To discover what that means, you'll just have to try it for yourself! Also, please remember that balance is the key to a healthy lifestyle, and your favourite Bubble & Shake bubble tea should be enjoyed as an occasional treat.
